On July 10, “Supply-side Reform and Development of Healthcare Industry—2016’ Tsinghua University-John Hopkins-Capital Healthcare Forum” was held in the Bird’s Nest Cultural Center, which gained in-depth insights into relationship between supply and demand in the medical field, reform of public hospitals, sustainable development of private medical institutions, training mechanism of high-level healthcare management professionals and other issues.
Huang Jiefu (President of Chinese Hospital Association, former Deputy Minister of Health and Director of Institute for Hospital Management of Tsinghua University), Yang Bin (Vice President and Academic Dean of Tsinghua University), Stephen Gange (Executive Academic Dean of Johns Hopkins University), Fang Laiying (Director of Beijing Municipal Health and Family Planning Commission), Zhi Jun (President of BSAM), Yu Luming (Director General of Beijing Municipal Hospital Authority), Fan Yuexian (Deputy Secretary of the CPC BSAM Committee and Chairman of Capital Healthcare Group Co., Ltd) and other relevant leaders and experts attended the forum. Nearly 400 guests from governments, academia, public hospitals, private medical institutions and well-known pharmaceutical enterprises were also present.
At this forum, for the purpose of supporting Capital Medical Group, Tsinghua University and Johns Hopkins University to jointly launch China’s first-ever Doctoral Training Program for Healthcare Management, BSAM and Tsinghua University formally signed a donation agreement for the first batch of winners of “Beijing Medical Scholarships”. Capital Healthcare Group will support short-term training program of “Hospital Management and Leadership Certificate Course” co-run by Johns Hopkins University and Tsinghua University, which is expected to commence in September 2016.
